RESEARCH SCIENTIST
LOCATION: Round Lake, IL.
COMPENSATION: 120k
Interpret and apply aseptic regulatory guidelines, both domestic (FDA) and international (PDA, ISO, EU, PIC/S, JP) and
current aseptic manufacturing processes and new drug delivery platforms.
Apply specialized technical and theoretical knowledge in creative ways to a broad range of difficult problems.
Independently plan, execute and manage projects/programs that both span multiple sterilization disciplines and incorporate
novel methods, techniques or approaches to aseptic processing.
Work with other members of Sterility Assurance to gain support for those portions of the project that require other
microbiology/sterilization expertise.
May act as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor to junior members within the discipline.
Present research results at external conferences, publish articles in journals and/or file patents.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS Biology/Microbiology with 15 years pharmaceutical experience, or MS with a minimum of 10 years experience.
Recognized for technical expertise within area of technical specialty.
Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems
through innovative thought and experience, integrating information from a variety of disciplines.
Ability to operate on multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously.
Ability to design and influence outside of immediate scope of responsibility.
Experienced in resource and budget management.
Research experience in GMP environment is essential.
Previous experience with the manufacturing of clinical materials a plus
